This is the Stephen F. Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas. Constructed in 1924, this was the second tallest building in Austin when it opened; the Texas State Capitol building was the tallest. Also, this was the tallest hotel in Austin from the time it was built in 1924 until 1981, when the Hyatt Regency Austin was built on the shores of Lady Bird Lake (formerly Town Lake).

The hotel is located on Congress Avenue, just one block from Sixth Street (one of the best-known streets in Texas and the heart of Austin's entertainment district), and about 4 blocks south of the Capitol building.
